The first Callaway Kids Bank Board of Directors meeting of the school year was held at the Callaway Bank last week.
Two North Callaway students were elected as officers of the Board:
Lia Bondurant was elected Board Chair
Austin Brown was elected Historian.

THE CALLAWAY KIDS BANK
The Callaway Bank recognizes our youth as one of Callaway and Boone County’s strongest assets. We realize they are the future leaders of our communities. A goal of THE CALLAWAY BANK is to teach our youth the value of smart saving today which will have a positive effect on their future. We want to share in the development of responsibility through good savings habits. This program is designed to develop a relationship with our youth and help them to understand the importance of saving at an early age.
THE CALLAWAY KIDS BANK BOARD
The board will be comprised of two student representatives and an advisor from each of the five high schools in Callaway County, and two students and one advisor from Kingdom Home School in the area. They will be in their Junior or Senior year of school and will serve for one year beginning in May of the respective year. New members of the board will be chosen by present board members and their advisors. Members can be chosen to serve a consecutive year. The board will assist in making decisions regarding future activities of The Kids Bank. They will be given a budget and allowed input toward marketing decisions and identification of worthy causes. They will be asked to attend certain sponsored events as representatives of the CKBB such as the Fulton Street Fair’s Kiddie Corral.
One meeting per month or every other month will be held unless otherwise stated. Meetings will take place in The Board Room of The Main Bank at 5 East Fifth Street unless otherwise stated.
Membership on this board will be recognized as a prestigious position and worthy of mention on the best of resumes and scholarship applications.
