The North Callaway High School Student Council raised $2,200 for the Super Sam Foundation to help fight pediatric cancer. On Friday, October 18, the Gold Rush football game encouraged NCR-1 fans to buy a Gold Rush t-shirt in honor of Wyatt Solomons, who passed away from childhood cancer in 2020. Additionally, between the first and second quarters, they led a Miracle Minute, during which patrons gave free-will donations to the cause. The Super Sam Foundation supports children and families fighting pediatric cancer through Care Packs. The Foundation also supports the significant funding gap in pediatric cancer research. North Callaway R-1 is proud of our students for their advocacy in fighting against pediatric cancer.
