The future is bright for the Thunderbirds! Today, HTK, our architectural firm, is meeting with multiple groups of stakeholders, teachers, students, principals, and others. Hearing the feedback about improving spaces for our students is so exciting.
The North Callaway FBLA chapter excelled at the State Leadership Conference by participating in multiple competitive events and conference activities. Members included Riley Blevins, Lia Bondurant, Isabelle Borcherding, Faith Cash, Carlie Clark, CJ Cunningham, Avis Endres, Sophia Geppert, Lakyn Hartley, Carter Moore,
Kyle Pennell, Sam Pezold, Emerson Reinhard, Abigail Schmidt, Megan Schmidt, and Lauren Speight.
The middle school track meet that was scheduled for today has been canceled due to the possibility of severe weather. We are working on rescheduling this meet.
The NCHS Quizbowl team made it to the semifinals of the District match on Saturday. Congratulations to Brendan who was named to the All-District team!

Thank you to our tremendous community including our patrons, the NCR1 Board of Education, NCR1 staff, and the Propositions N+C steering committee and volunteers.
Passing Props N+C puts our district in a great position to offer students a tremendous education by helping us recruit and retain highly qualified teachers and staff. We look forward to opening the single-site K-5 elementary school doors in August 2026 and to teachers and non-certified employees receiving more competitive salaries for the 2024-25 school year.
